Volunteers NEEDED for Funeral Luncheons
As many of you know, our church provides a luncheon after funerals to support our grieving families. It’s a quiet but powerful ministry – one that offers comfort, hospitality, and love of Christ during some of life’s most difficult moments.
I am reaching out to invite you to support this meaningful ministry. Unfortunately, we have been struggling to fill our volunteer needs. We would love to continue with the ministry, but we need your help. If we are unable to get volunteers, we will not be able to continue to provide this ministry at St. Luke. We are looking for volunteers to help with setting up, serving, and teardown. No cooking is required, just a willingness to lend a hand with setting up tables, chairs, and light tidying, and/or serving during the luncheon.
Typically, volunteer roles are:
Set-Up (8:30am-10am)
During Luncheon (11am-2:30pm)
Clean-Up (2pm-3pm)
Volunteers are invited to stay the entire time (8:30am-3pm) or choose a time frame that fits your schedule. We would love to have teams where we can rotate responsibilities! Whether you are available occasionally or would like to be a part of a regular team, your help would make this ministry possible.
If you feel called to this ministry, I would love to talk with you, answer any questions you may have, and welcome you to the team. Please reach out!
