Olive Wood Sale - Sept 6/7

The annual Olive Wood sale is next weekend, September 6 & 7.

After all Masses next weekend, we will be having our annual sale of olivewood carvings from the Holy Land. There are hand-carved statues, nativity sets, crosses, rosaries and plaques. They are provided for us by Shibli Abu Farha, a Christian who lives with his family in Bethlehem, which is less than 50 miles from Gaza. 100% of the proceeds go to support the Christians in his home country.

With the war still going on in the Holy Land and things getting worse, this is one way that we can support our fellow Christians. The reality of the war is that tourism has now stopped in the Holy Land so that selling here is even more important at this time. For a variety of reasons, Shibli cannot be with us this year, so friends of his are present to help.
