LITURGICAL MINISTRY

Contact Ethan Ruffing at liturgy@lukespot.com regarding interest in serving in one or more liturgical ministries!
Serve at our Sunday and weekday liturgies in one of the following roles:

MUSIC & CHOIR (contact Shawnda Draeger at music@lukespot.com)

  • Singers & instrumentalists - singing either in the choir or as a cantor. We are always looking for more music ministry!

USHER

  • Welcoming, relational, ready to serve every person that walks in the doors. Helping every person feel at home!

LECTOR

  • Proclaiming the Word of God - boldly, confidently, clearly, and articulately.

ALTAR SERVER

  • Vested, in the sanctuary, reverently assisting the priest and aiding in the ritual of liturgy.

SACRISTAN

  • Preparing liturgical items before Mass, keeping a watchful eye during Mass, and cleaning up after.

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER OF HOLY COMMUNION

  • Aiding in the distribution of the Eucharist, with the utmost reverence, to the faithful.

HOMEBOUND MINISTRY

Some trained Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are tasked with bringing the Eucharist to those who are homebound and unable to attend Mass.

FOOD PANTRY

We host our Food Pantry once a month, on the second Thursday of the month from 3 – 5pm. Generous donations of time, talent and treasure help us to serve close to 50 families a month. Volunteers are needed to go to various food providers and collect their donation, as well as help in sorting and the upkeep of our pantry area. On those Thursdays we need volunteers to help set up, hand out, and other various things.
