Giving Tuesday Success!
This year’s Giving Tuesday campaign was an incredible success!
In the course of a few days we raised over $30,000!
Over 90 households at St. Luke contributed to help meet our goal. This is an incredible testament to the heroic generosity of our parishioners and speaks volumes about the St. Luke's community. You have taken seriously the instruction of our Lord to "store up treasure in Heaven" - and chosen to devote your hard earned dollars to the building up of our local Church.
As planned, these funds will go towards the construction of an outdoor Marian Grotto and the first step in building a cross for the roof of St. Luke (read more below). Be assured that any extra funds raised beyond what is needed for these expenses will be put to faithful use in related projects, or for future Giving Tuesday funds.
Cross for the Roof of St. Luke
The second portion of the campaign will be set aside for building an exterior cross on top of St. Luke! Funding from the campaign will be used to hire an architect to make a comprehensive plan and take the first steps towards construction. This initial stage of the project will begin after the completion of the Marian Grotto.
Marian Grotto Launching Fund
The first portion of the Giving Tuesday campaign will help build an outdoor Marian grotto enshrining Our Lady in reverence and beauty! The project is already in its initial stages, and a beautiful stone statue was recently gifted to the parish. Funding from Giving Tuesday will be used to restore the statue to its incredible value and construct the grotto on the grounds outside the church. The project is set to be completed by the Fall of 2026 as a place of prayer for our parishioners and college students.
